We’ve been closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, and it’s become clear that it would be challenging to go ahead with the summit on 18 March. We’ve decided to postpone to autumn 2020. 

We’ll be emailing delegates with more information, including how they can claim back any travel and accommodation costs.

Our work to reimagine research continues, and we’ll have some announcements to share in the coming months. Sign up to our research newsletter for updates and join in the conversation online. If you haven’t already, you can also host a Café Culture to bring together colleagues and share your ideas for change. 

The summit will:

  • bring together advocates and experts from across the research community to reflect on what we’ve heard
  • celebrate those already leading the way in improving research culture 
  • highlight how other sectors have made major cultural shifts
  • explore the practical steps needed to achieve a better research culture, and set out Wellcome’s first steps towards this.

More information about the programme will be available soon. 

Expressions of interest to attend the summit will open in autumn 2020.
